Why are wooden cutting boards always so expensive? Honestly, we don’t know either.

After costing, our local hardwood Friends Craft Board is comparable to IKEA’s bamboo boards (PS: bamboo is a grass not wood ).

Our boards have been tested in a commercial kitchen over the last 6 months without warping or mold. So we are confident that with proper care, our FC board will hold up for you in the home too.

Our stripey pattern is both aesthetic and functional; the alternating wood strips minimises warping, because of reduced wood grain tension. For finishing, we only use FDA food safe glues and natural tung oil finishes.
