Meet Our Makers
Skaii de Vega is a surrealist artist, designer, and the founder of The Kanshalife Project — a social enterprise based in Langkawi that transforms waste into beauty and empowers marginalized communities through circular design. With a deep commitment to regenerative living, Skaii blends art, sustainability, and healing into every creation. Her work is rooted in storytelling, soulcraft, earth stewardshipness and the belief that beauty can emerge from even the most broken things.
Through Kanshalife, she collaborates with women, youth, and local artisans to create meaningful, earth-conscious products — from hand-poured recycled candles by “Maktok” (a single mother), to extra virgin coconut oil and healing sprays made from carefully curated herbs, to upcycled textiles and accessories using plabric and laser engraved waste. Each piece is a reflection of community, care, and the power of transformation.
